What We Do

Our Services

A look at the deck work we handle most.

Deck Installation

A new deck framed and built to carry the furniture and the crowd you actually plan to put on it.

Deck Repair

Soft boards, wobbly rails and sagging steps fixed without tearing out the whole deck.

Deck Staining & Sealing

A fresh coat of stain and sealer before the sun and rain finish wrecking your boards.

Custom Deck Design

Multi-level decks, built-in seating and shade structures laid out before a single board gets cut.

Composite Decking

No more sanding and restaining every couple of summers.

Deck Railing Installation

Railings set to code height with balusters spaced so a toddler can't squeeze through.

Who We Are

A crew that only does decks

We build new decks, replace old ones and fix the specific thing that's gone wrong on a deck that's otherwise fine. Most people who call us have soft boards near the stairs, a railing that moves when you lean on it, or a ledger board pulling away from the house. We work on homes all over Little Rock and the towns nearby, plenty of them with decks ten, twenty, thirty years old. If your deck was built before anyone worried much about flashing or joist hangers, there's a decent chance we've already seen the problem you're about to find.

We pull the boards that are soft enough to worry about and check what's underneath before we quote anything, because rot rarely stops where you can see it. Ledger boards get properly flashed against the house, not just caulked, since that's the single spot most decks around here fail first. We fasten pressure-treated lumber with hot-dip galvanized or stainless hardware so it doesn't corrode and streak the wood. A deck we build or fix gets checked joist by joist, not just looked over from the top.

Had two joists rotted out under the back corner in Sherwood. They matched them in and didn't try to sell me a whole new deck.

Deck Repair · Conway, AR
Switched to composite after staining our deck in Little Rock three summers in a row. Wish we'd done it years ago, no more sanding every spring.

Composite Decking · North Little Rock, AR
Rain pushed our start back a week out near Cabot, but once they got going the framing was done in two days. Railing spacing passed inspection first try.

Common Questions

Questions we get a lot

Questions people ask before they call.

Do you charge for estimates?
Estimates for deck work are free and done in person, since board count, footing depth and ledger condition all have to be seen on site to quote accurately. A phone estimate for a deck isn't reliable because square footage alone doesn't show what the framing underneath looks like.
Are you licensed and insured for deck work?
Deck construction and repair work is carried out licensed and insured, with certificates available on request before a contract is signed. Coverage applies to both the structural work and anyone on site during the build.
How soon can you start a deck project?
Scheduling depends on the season, since spring and early summer are the busiest months for new deck builds in Arkansas. A small repair job can often get fit in within a week or two, while a full new deck install may be scheduled several weeks out.
What areas do you serve?
Deck building and repair services cover Little Rock and towns within roughly a 50-mile radius, including Conway, North Little Rock, Benton, Sherwood and Jacksonville. Jobs farther out in the service area may carry a small trip charge.
Do you work on all types of properties?
Single-family homes, rental properties and small multi-family buildings are all common deck jobs, as long as site access allows for standard framing equipment. Commercial deck work, like a restaurant patio, is handled on a case-by-case basis.
Will you take on a small deck repair, or only full builds?
Small repairs, like a single rotted board, a loose stair stringer or a railing that's come loose, are taken on just as readily as full deck installs. A lot of deck failures start as a small, fixable problem, so catching it early is usually cheaper than waiting.
How do I get started?
Call or fill out the contact form with a description of the deck project and a few photos if there's an existing deck involved. A site visit gets scheduled from there to measure, check the framing and put together a written quote.
What does a new deck typically cost?
Deck cost depends mainly on square footage, decking material and height off the ground, since taller decks need more substantial footings and stairs. Pressure-treated pine runs less than composite or cedar, and railing style or built-in seating add to the total.
Do you require a deposit before starting work?
A deposit is standard before materials are ordered, with the balance due on completion of the deck project. Payment terms are spelled out in the written quote before any work begins.
What happens if it rains during the build?
Framing and decking work pauses during active rain, since wet lumber and power tools don't mix safely and footings need dry conditions to pour and cure properly. Weather delays get communicated as soon as they come up, and the schedule adjusts rather than rushing a step that shouldn't be rushed.
